How Matteo Rolls - Packing Tip

How Matteo Rolls - Packing Tip

I tend to travel relatively frequently, and whether it is a short trip to London from Edinburgh, either on a plane or train, or a longer trip to another continent, I carry a roll. In this short post with video I hope to explain how I roll. To clarify, this post is about how I prepare a set of underwear to carry in hand luggage or even a coat pocket.

While travelling I like to feel comfortable, and sometimes my comfort levels can be improved by just popping into an airport or train station toilet and changing my underwear. To do this I always travel with a roll: t-shirt, underwear and socks rolled up so as to take up as little space as possible and carried easily in hand luggage or maybe even a coat pocket.

In the video above I walk through the process of preparing a roll. Depending on how thick the material of the underwear is and how long the roll is it may be more appropriate for hand luggage or a coat pocket. Obviously this is very subjective to your bag and your clothing style.

Coming up soon we will have a post on packing cubes and how they can benefit your packing for travel.
